Following a chance overheard conversation where my ears pricked up at the concept of a "menopause coach", I introduced myself to Simon and asked for more info. Two months later, I have completed the 7-week one-on-one online menopause coaching programme, and have made a number of small tweaks (and one or two bigger changes!) as a result.
The programme has a different weekly topic, covering such things as diet, water, movement and decluttering. We set an overall goal at the beginning, and then each week, we agreed some specific actions that would lead me towards achieving my goal. I really liked the action setting and accountability - this was exactly what I needed to give myself a gentle nudge towards some healthier decisions.
Simon is completely sympathetic to the rollercoaster menopause journey, and used his skills as a former teacher to pivot some of the sessions to my specific health needs, which was extremely helpful. I am so glad I did this!

I LOVE the weights. I’ve read so much about lifting weights being beneficial but honestly wouldn’t have known where to start - love the group, it feels non threatening, relaxed, easy to just do what you can.
Talking about menopause is great, let’s not make it a dirty word. To share my story (which for some reason I don’t do very often) - I had early onset menopause. I was lucky enough to have my two children first and then in my late thirties became menopausal. I only had two symptoms occasional low mood and weight gain. I kept it a secret for years, only my mum and my husband knew.
Menopause is a complex unique beast, that all too often we make an ‘old’ person’s problem. What you’re doing is very subtlety making a safe space where that dialogue can be opened. Where you can start to educate us on your findings and make us no longer feel invisible

I have just completed my first personal training session block with Simon. Simon has built up my confidence and trust in my body. He has challenged me to work in different ways and try new things. Each session has been different from the last, which I have found motivating and fun.
Where I have found exercises difficult or I don't yet have the flexibility to do them, Simon finds a workaround, which means that I still get the benefit. Simon really focuses on the client; even giving personal choice on the music! Plus he is a thoroughly nice person.

I have been following the menopause plan with Simon over the past few weeks and he has been pivotal in helping me to understand the menopause symptoms in greater depth and given some great support and advice to guide me along the way.
